VALORLUX was created on the private sector's initiative (retailers, importers, manufacturers) as a non profit-making association. VALORLUX provides an overall sustainable and cost-effective solution to the management of household packaging waste flows with a view to providing for a better environment.

In the overall flow of packaging and packaging handling, VALORLUX plays an essential role as an interface between the different stakeholders:

• Industrialists – manufacturers, importers and retailers;
• Consumers;
• Intermunicipal unions or municipalities;
• Operators (collection, sorting); and
• Recycling/recovery plans.
